The short version

The OhmMail app works on your device. We do not run servers that receive your email, contacts, calendar or passwords, and we do not sell or share your information. This website collects basic visit statistics, described below.

The OhmMail app

What the app uses

Your email accounts, to download, send and organize mail directly with your mail provider. Contacts, to suggest addresses and show whose phone number is in an email. Calendar, to show and add events. Notifications, for reminders and events. Microphone and speech recognition, only while you dictate. Photos and files, only when you attach or save one. You can turn each of these off in your device's Settings.

What the app collects

Nothing. The app has no analytics or advertising. Passwords are kept in your device's Keychain. Mail, settings, rules and folders are stored on your device, encrypted, and can't be read while it is locked.

AI features

Optional and off unless you turn them on. They use Apple Intelligence on your device. Your mail is not sent to us or to any AI service.

iCloud sync

When on, your settings, rules, folders and groups are stored in your own iCloud account so they appear on your other devices. Apple handles this data and we cannot read it. Your email is not copied to iCloud.

Unsubscribing and link checks

When you tap Unsubscribe, the app contacts the mailing list using the method the list provides. Link checks happen on your device.

Subscriptions

Bought and managed through Apple. We do not receive your payment details.

This website (ohmmail.app)

When you visit this website, we record each visit in our own database at Cloudflare, the company that hosts the site. For each visit we record:

• Your IP address
• Your approximate location (country, region, city and postal code) and internet provider, which Cloudflare works out from your IP address
• The pages you view, the website or search that sent you here, and whether you tapped the App Store button
• Your browser, device type, operating system and screen size

We use this to understand how people find OhmMail and to keep the site working. It is not shared with advertisers or sold, and it is kept for 12 months, then deleted. This data never includes anything from the OhmMail app or your email. We use no cookies for this. You can stop it by turning on your browser's "Do Not Track" or "Global Privacy Control" setting; visits with either are not recorded.

Children

We do not knowingly collect information from children. Parents can manage app downloads and purchases with Screen Time and Ask to Buy.

Your choices

You can ask us what website visit data we hold about your IP address, or ask us to delete it, by emailing us.
